Amankila Manggis

Amankila, which means "peaceful hill", is a beautiful resort set against a dramatic backdrop of Mount Agung and the bright blue waters of the Lombok Strait. All 34 spacious villas are on stilts dotted about the verdant hillside with excellent views. With a host of activities, gorgeous food and great service, it is an ideal escape in Bali.

  • What separates Amankila from other luxury Bali resorts is that it is situated in Karangasem, one of Bali's most traditional regencies. Amankila also offers easy access to untouched rural countryside, local crafts and the region's royal past.

Our thoughts

Amankila is a haven of seclusion, with its stunning cliff-top position overlooking the Lombok Strait. Chic and understated, it is designed in the traditional architectural style of the region and is definitely one of the most romantic destinations in Bali. The property is close to Manggis, Candi Dasa, Tenganan and other villages with a rich craft tradition to discover.
