The best time to travel to India is from December to March when the temperatures are cooler and drier. Autumn from October to November is also a popular time to visit. 


Day 1: UK Departure
Depart the UK on an overnight flight to Delhi.

Day 2: The Gateway Hotel Damdama Lake (B)
Upon arrival you’ll be greeted by your local guide and transferred to the Gateway Hotel Damdama Lake where you’ll spend your first 2 nights.

Day 3: The Gateway Hotel Damdama Lake (B)
On day three you’ll get to enjoy a full day tour of Old and New Delhi with highlights including the 17th century Jama Masjid, bustling Chandni Chowk, a rickshaw ride, and the Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Key destinations in New Delhi have to be the 12th century Qutab Minar, the 16th century Humayun’s tomb, the Presidential Palace, India Gate, Parliament House and the secretarial buildings. The tour is an incredible experience that allows you to see some of Delhi’s greatest sights and architectural achievements. 

Day 4: The Gateway Hotel (B)
Today you will be driven to Agra, a journey of approximately four hours. This day is sure to be one of the highlights of the tour, with you spending your afternoon visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site of Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal. These sites are amazing examples of architectural brilliance and hold much cultural and historical significance. You’ll then enjoy an overnight stay at the Gateway Hotel.

Day 5: The Gateway Hotel Ramgarh Lodge (B)
Today you will be driven to Jaipur a journey of approximately five hours with an en-route visit to the city of Fatehpur Sikri, another example of great architecture. Upon arrival check into the Gateway Hotel Ramgarh Lodge for a two night stay. Jaipur, the capital of the province of Rajasthan is known for its art and crafts, jewellery, hand-painted fabrics and stone sculptures.

Day 6: The Gateway Hotel Ramgarh Lodge (B)
For day six you’ll have the chance to enjoy another full day tour, this time of Jaipur. There is so much to see and do in Jaipur, and this tour ensures you get to take in as much as possible. Just a few of the highlights include visiting the picturesque Hawa Mahal, also known as the palace of winds, and a visit to the capital of Amber to see Amber Fort. You’ll continue to the City Palace where you’ll find exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards and then on to the Jantar Mantar observatory where you’ll get to see a variety of interesting astronomical instruments including the world’s largest stone sundial.

Day 7: The Gateway Hotel Damdama Lake (B)
On day seven you’ll return to Delhi and the Gateway Hotel Damdama Lake to stay for your final night.

Day 8: Departure
Transfer to Delhi airport for your flight to the UK
