Six Senses Con Dao

On Con Son Island in the Con Dao Archipelago, this resort is private and remote, highlighting the Six Senses' philosophy of barefoot luxury, yet it is just a 45 minute flight from Ho Chi Minh City. Best time to go

The wet season is May to October. November to April are the best times to travel.

Our thoughts

Con Dao is an untouched and breathtakingly beautiful area, protected for decades as a national and marine park. Six Senses Con Dao, the first 5 star resort in the archipelago, has been built with the very lightest ecological footprint and initiates various responsible programmes helping neighbouring villages and schools.

Vietnamese by the Market - The heart of any home is the kitchen. The heart of Six Senses Con Dao is its Vietnamese kitchen, known as Vietnamese by the Market. Ms Len and her team cook authentic delicacies over charcoal flamed woks or in wood-fired ovens. Noodles, rice, soups, rolls and wraps are created to order and are often hailed as the best 'street' food you've ever tasted. Daily cooking classes are held to learn to create the dishes by yourself.

Deli'cious. - For the best snacks and light lunches, mature cheeses, cold meats, fresh salads, organic vegetables and herbs, chutneys and jams in filled baguettes are served. Fabulous breads, pastries, cakes and cookies are available from breakfast to tea time. Deli'cious offers both eat in and take away dining options.

By the Beach - By the Beach is the main restaurant with panoramic ocean views and gentle sea breezes. Offering locally caught seafood, fruit, vegetables and herbs bursting with flavour. Chef Richard Lee takes traditional Vietnamese recipes and adds his own twist. It is Asian fusion with a hint of colonial French. Dinner, overlooking the moonlit sea, offers daily specials of delicately flavoured, beautifully cooked dishes.

In-Villa Dining - From 7am until midnight decadent room service is available. The In-Villa Dining menu is imaginative and extensive. There is also private dining available upon request.
