Summary

Located on the stunning Ago Bay in Japan’s Ise-Shima National Park the Amanemu resort is a beautiful resort combining minimalistic elegance with hints of traditional Japanese ryokan. Built around an onsen, the resort spa & private onsens are fed by a nutrient-rich hot spring from nearby. The suites & villas are spacious offering beautiful views across the bay, private onsens and a spacious deck. A big feature of the property is the Spa which offers two larger onsen facilities, yoga studio, gym and treatment rooms. Enjoy the renowned Matsusaka Wagyu beef, and fresh locally sourced sea food in the house restaurant, giving you a sample of the culinary delights that make Japan.

How to get there

The Nagoya Chubu International Airport is the closest airport, a 3-hour car drive or a 25-minute helicopter ride. The airport services domestic flights from cities in Japan and has a few international flights.

Best time to go

In late March & early April enjoy the cherry blossoms, while late autumn is perfect with fresh & light breezes, with cool temperatures. Winter also is a good time to go as it is dry, temperate and often sunny.

Amanemu is a place to recharge in style. We would recommend that you take the shrine tour with a guide and walk through the stunningly beautiful forests. The resort is a perfect place to recuperate and recharge from your busy life, while enjoying some the cultural heritage that Japan is known for.

The house restaurant serves food which is locally sourced and is a tribute to Japan's heritage, offering beautiful views across the bay. The menu offers Matsusaka, a premium Wagyu beef, seafood from the sea nearby including spiny lobster and Abalone.

The Mori suites have a floor space of about 1065 sqft, with a bedroom and separate living area. You can enjoy your private Japanese onsen bath fed by the nutrient-rich hot springs nearby, and twin vanities. The room is fitted with a king size bed, walk-in closet, fire nook, and offers views of the garden.

SORA SUITE

SORA SUITE

The Sora suites are located closer to the sea, with beautiful views over the Ago Bay. The 1065 sqft suite opens into a big veranda and is fitted with a Japanese onsen fed by nutrient-rich water from hot springs, and a king size bed. 

NAGI SUITE

NAGI SUITE

This suite offers premium sea views from its spacious veranda and a floor space of 1065 sqft. The suite has a private onsen bath, which is fed by nearby hot springs rich in nutrients. The room is fitted with a king size bed, fire nook & a walk-in closet.
