Day 1: Depart UK
Depart London Heathrow on an overnight flight to Beijing
Day 2: Grand Hyatt Beijing (B)
On arrival, you will be met and transferred to stay for three nights at the Grand Hyatt Beijing.
Day 3: Grand Hyatt Beijing (B,D)
Enjoy a full day of sightseeing in this fascinating city – from the famous Tiananmen Square & Forbidden City to the Summer Palace and centuries-old Hutongs.
Day 4: Grand Hyatt Beijing (B,L,D)
A visit is made to the magnificent and iconic Great Wall in the morning and the burial grounds of the Chinese emperors and the Ming Tomb, are visited after lunch. In the evening the Chinese delicacy of Beijing Duck Dinner will be sampled.
Day 5: Crowne Plaza Lijang Ancient Town (B,D)
Explore the Temple of Heaven before flying to the ancient city of Lijiang. Stay for three nights at the Crowne Plaza Lijang Ancient Town.
Day 6: Crowne Plaza Lijang Ancient Town (B,D)
Take a cable car ride to Yak Meadow and view the glacier at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain before visiting the Black Dragon Pool and the 600-year old preserved murals at Baisha Fresco. Conclude the day by exploring the Old Town of Lijiang.
Day 7: Crowne Plaza Lijang Ancient Town (B,D)
Enjoy a scenic ride to the Tiger Leaping Gorge and travel along the Golden Sand River, the beginning of the mighty Yangtze where breath-taking views of dramatic scenery are de-rigueur.
Day 8: Regent Hotel (B,D)
Travel to Dali, stopping en-route at the Xizhou Ethnic Minority Village to witness the traditional Bai-style architecture and art. Walk through Dali Old Town with it’s charming narrow lanes and stay overnight at the Regent Hotel (HB)
Day 9: Green Lake Hotel (B,D)
Delight in a boat cruise on the Erhai Lake before visiting the famous Three Pagodas of Dali. Fly to Kunming and stay for two nights at the Green Lake Hotel.
Day 10: Green Lake Hotel (B,D)
Enjoy an excursion to visit the Stone Forest National Geological Park before wandering through Kunming’s flower and bird market.
Day 11: Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin (B,D)
Fly to Guilin and stay for three nights at the Shangri-La Hotel. Travel to view the natural underground wonder which is the Reed Flute Cave, before marvelling at the iconic Fubo Hill.
Day 12: Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin (B,D)
Board a river cruise for a memorable trip through some of China's best-known natural scenery before having free time to explore Yangshuo.
Day 13: Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin (B,D)
Take a scenic drive today to Longsheng, where the Zhuang and Yao ethnic people have lived for centuries, to experience the unique culture of local minorities and their villages where life has remained unchanged for thousands of years.
Day 14: Pudong Shangri-La Hotel (B,D)
Fly to Shanghai, China's largest and most dynamic city. On arrival, Visit the Yu Garden and enjoy a guided walk around the fascinating Old Downtown area. Stay for two nights at the Pudong Shangri-La Hotel.
Day 15: Pudong Shangri-La Hotel (B,L,D)
Enjoy a full day of sightseeing in this vibrant and ever-changing city – to include the serene riverside Bund, the impressive Jin Mao Tower, the excellent museum and the numerous markets. The day is completed by a famous Shanghai Acrobatic Show.
Day 16: Departure (B)
Depart on a daytime flight to the UK.
