Best time to go

The best time to visit is between January and May when the weather is best. Typhoon season begins in June and lasts into early December. Holy Week is around Easter where hotels book out months in advance so guests should keep this in mind.

Our thoughts

Ariara is perfect for those seeking total seclusion. Guests have the entire island to themselves inviting only whom they wish. While there, relaxation is inevitable whether it be lazing away the day in one of the hammocks along the beach or around the pool or taking part in one of the many activities available. This is the perfect destination for those with a busy lifestyle who don't 'do' hotels.

  Dining

Dining options can suit the guests' moods on their own private island. It can be sophisticated or "barefoot". The Lodge is the focal point of day-to-day life on the island and is located at the end of the 120m pier. Designed for entertaining and dining - the choices are unlimited.

The North wing's impressive marble-floored dining hall complete with full-height glass doors, vaulted ceiling and viewing gallery above a shaded terrace makes an ideal location for celebrations. The South wing houses the spacious lounge area that leads to the swimming pool, extensive deck and beach.

All bedrooms have private terraces and gardens, scattered with hanging chairs and hammocks.  Many have vaulted ceilings, four-poster beds, walk-in wardrobes, enormous bathrooms and open-air showers.

Beach Cottages - The four beach cottages each have a private terrace and a secluded pocket garden. They are surrounded on two sides with a wide veranda and ceiling fans as well as comfortable outdoor seating. Indoors, the cottages have a large bedroom with a large four poster bed and walk in closet as well as a large marble bathroom with either a wooden bathtub or a marble bathtub hand carved from a block of Rombon marble.

Jungle Villas - The two Jungle Villas are built on stilts and provide spectacular views. Each villa has a large master bedroom with a four poster bed and a dressing room that could double as a child's bedroom as well as a marble bathroom with a walk in shower and a marble bathtub open to the jungle. One of the villas has an additional bedroom or study with its own shower room while the other has a first floor terrace with a breakfast table.

The Lodge - The Lodge is a large building at the end of the pier and is perfect for dining or entertaining while enjoying the beautiful views. The North Wing is floored in impressive marble and has a 12 metre high vaulted ceiling with a viewing gallery above as well as a shaded terrace and games area. The South Wing is a spacious lounge with oversized furniture made for relaxing in and also includes a cinema style projector and huge screen. An infinity pool and deck area are outside the lounge and lead to the beach. Above the lounge is a master bedroom suite complete with spectacular views.
