Important changes to visa regulations in Asia

Vietnam has agreed to grant a visa exemption to residents of 5 European countries. Residents of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain will not be required to obtain a visa for travel of up to 15 days in Vietnam.

The change will be effective from 01 July 2015 until 30 June 2016.

 

The Indonesian government has announced it will waive visas for 30 more countries when entering Indonesia including the UK. Now 45 nationalities are eligible to enter and remain in Indonesia for 30 days without a visa.

To be eligible for visa-free travel, you must enter and exit through designated airports and seaports only. These are:

International Airports:
Jakarta - Soekarno Hatta International Airport; Bali - Ngurah Rai International Airport; Medan - Kualanamu International Airport; Surabaya - Juanda International Airport; Batam - Hang Nadim International Airport. 
International Seaports:
Bintan - Sri Bintan Harbor at Tanjung Pinang; Bintan - Tanjung Uban Harbor; Batam - Sekupang Harbor; Batam - Batam Center Harbor.

Clients entering or exiting from an airport or seaport not on the above list must ensure they have a valid visa on arrival and paid the visa fee of $USD35.
