Classic Malaysia
Summary
Malaysia is made up of a vast mix of religions and races combining Malays, Indians, Chinese and many other ethnic groups who all live together in harmony. The countryside itself is as diverse and is spread across 11 states with varying scenes and sights to behold. The key attractions are in its bustling cities like Kuala Lumpur where modern technology and architecture make for a fast paced lifestyle; and its rich natural diversity - both on land in lush jungles that are home to a variety of endangered species; and in its colourful marine life along the coastline.
This itinerary combines a stay in the vibrant capital city, colonial heritage, stunning scenery and a relaxing beach stay on a private island. This starts in buzzing Kuala Lumpur staying in a colonial heritage hotel located within the city with easy access to shopping malls, bars, restaurants and local attractions. Continue to the cooler peaceful Cameron Highlands located 6,000ft above sea level which offers an English village feel with tea plantations, rolling hills, orchards, stunning scenery, golf and an insight into the history of its colonial past. Finish up on the privately owned Pangkor Laut Resort on the straits of Malacca with beaches and a wild jungle interior along with seven restaurants and an award winning spa.
