The tour will show you many of the different historical and cultural sites of the city, with highlights including a visit to the Citadel, National Museum, Roman Amphitheatre, Folklore Museum, and King Abdullah’s Mosque.
Day 3: Four Seasons Amman (BB)
On your third day you’ll enjoy a full day visit to Jordan's desert castles, beautiful examples of early Islamic art and architecture which stand testament to a fascinating era in the country's rich history. Their fine mosaics, frescoes, stone and stucco carvings and illustrations, inspired by the best in Persian and Greco-Roman traditions, tell countless stories of life as it was during the 8th century. Called castles because of their imposing stature, the desert complexes actually served various purposes as caravan stations, agriculture and trade centres, resort pavilions and outposts that helped distant rulers forge ties with local Bedouins. This is sure to be an interesting visit for anyone keen to learn more about Jordan’s past.
Day 4: Four Seasons Amman (BB)
Today you will visit Madaba, Nebo, and Mkawer and see the sites of significance found within them. In Madaba you will have the chance to visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George where the historical Madaba Mosaic Map covers the floor. Next you’ll visit Nebo, and specifically Mount Nebo, where according to the Bible Moses was buried; making it a place of much religious significance. Finally, you will head to Mkawer to take in the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, the Dead Sea, and the West Bank, on a clear night you can even make out the lights of Al Quds and Ariha.
Day 5: Four Seasons Amman (BB)
Today you will explore more of Jordan’s historical sites, paying visits to Jerash, Ajloun, and Umm Qais. Jerash reveals a fine example of the grand, formal provincial Roman urbanism that is found throughout the Middle East, comprising paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, handsome theatres, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains and city walls pierced by towers and gates. Next you will visit Ajloun Castle, built by one of Saladin’s generals in 1184 AD to control the iron mines. The castles dominated the three main routes leading to the Jordan valley and protected the trade and commercial routes. Finally, you will visit Um Qais, a town perched atop a hilltop 378 metres about sea level and offering amazing views over the Yarmouk River, the Golan Heights, and Like Tiberias.
Day 6: Movenpick Petra Hotel (BB)
This morning transfer by road to Petra, stopping on the way in Dana for a 2 hour self-guided trail. The trail winds above the Dana Village and through the terraced gardens and local craft workshops. Visitors can meet the local residents, see original Ottoman architecture, and learn more about Dana’s rich history. Upon arrival in Petra, you’ll check into the Movenpick Petra Hotel for a 2 night stay.

Day 8: Movenpick Aqaba (BB)
Today you will transfer by road to Aqaba, stopping at Wadi Rum for a 90 minute desert jeep ride along the way. Wadi Rum is a vast, silent landscape of ancient riverbeds and the largest and most magnificent of Jordan's desert landscapes. Continue to Aqaba for a private city tour and check into the Movenpick Aqaba for a 1 night stay. Enjoy the beach, go snorkelling or venture into the city.
Day 9: Movenpick Dead Sea (BB)

The salt content of the water is 31.5% making the water so buoyant that it is impossible to sink, so enjoy the unique sensation of floating weightlessly on its surface.
Day 10: Movenpick Dead Sea (BB)
This morning you will have to spend at leisure before enjoying an afternoon visit to Bethany. The Bethany area sites formed part of the early Christian pilgrimage route between Jerusalem, the Jordan River, and Mount Nebo. The area is also associated with the biblical account of how the Prophet Elijah (Mar Elias in Arabic) ascended to heaven in a whirlwind on a chariot of fire.
