This itinerary aims to take you through all the highlights of Bangkok and northern Thailand with a focus on its buzzing cities, culture, history, scenery and local people. We've included a superb range of luxury hotels and excursions to ensure you experience the local Thai people and see many of their famous temples, ruins, monuments and museums. In Bangkok explore its buzzing markets and gold-tinged temples, before moving on to interact with Elephants and the local hill tribes in the North, where you can see tinges of Laos and Myanmar in the distance.

November to April is the best time to travel with amiable weather throughout the country.
Overnight flight to Bangkok.
Day 2 – stay the Sukhothai Hotel, Bangkok
Arrive at Bangkok airport and transfer in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel. Relax and get acclimatised to Bangkok’s bustling capital. The hotel is well located close to top restaurants and attractions, should you wish to venture out into the city.
Day 3 - stay the Sukhothai Hotel, Bangkok
Today you’ll sample the highlights of Bangkok with a full day city tour. The Grand Palace, Wat Pho and a visit to the iconic Wat Arun will be just a few of the highlights.
Day 4 – stay at the Uthai River Lake Resort, Uthai Thani
Drive to legendary Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Thailand, to visit the ruined temples and to enjoy a riverside lunch before boarding a long-tail boat to explore the majestic Royal mansions.
Day 5 - stay at the Sukhothai Heritage Resort, Sukhothai
Today you’ll enjoy a rice barge cruise before continuing by road to Phitsanulok to visit Thailand's most famous Buddha image and folk museum.
Day 6 stay at the Sukhothai Heritage Resort, Sukhothai
Spend the day exploring Sukhothai, the kingdom's first capital and home to the museum and historical park from this Golden era.
Day 7 – stay at the Anantara Chiang Mai
Take a short drive north to the Sri Satchanalai National Park on the banks of the Yom River for a leisurely tour of this ancient town.
Day 8 - stay at the Anantara Chiang Mai
Enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Chiang Mai. Ancient temples, markets, Doi Suthep, the most famous temple in northern Thailand, and the Hmong village are just some of the highlights.
Day 9 -stay at the Anantara Chiang Mai
Enjoy a real Thai experience on an elephant ride through thick forests. Also visit a local elephant camp, orchid nursery & butterfly farm before heading to the Ping River for a bamboo rafting ride.
Day 10 – stay at the Four Seasons Golden Triangle, Chiang Rai
Transfer via local villages to Chiang Rai. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure.
Day 11 - stay at the Four Seasons Golden Triangle, Chiang Rai
Today visit bustling Mae Sai for the intriguing Burmese border market. In the afternoon head to the Golden Triangle to visit the legendary opium museum and take a boat ride along the Mekong River.
Enjoy a morning tour of Chiang Rai before flying back to Bangkok airport where you’ll connect with your flight home.
