How to get there

First fly to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok a journey of around 11 hours on a direct flight, before flying to Chiang Mai a journey of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arrival continue by road to the hotel taking around 20 minutes.

Best time to go

The dry season is mid October to February, when temperatures are mild and rain is scarce.

The hot season from March until mid June when the farmers do the agricultural fires on the farmland and visibility can be hazy.

The monsoon season runs from mid June to mid October

The Restaurant - Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this restaurant offers delicious international cuisine. Breakfast is a lavish affair with tropical fruits, juices, fresh baked goods, eastern and western favourites and hot dishes made to order. For lunch and dinner, you can choose between regional and northern Thai specialities, western classics or Indian cuisine. Ice cream and sorbet is also available throughout the day.

The Colonial House - Exuding old world charm, The Colonial House, was once the British consulate of Chiang Mai. Its wrap around verandah creates the perfect place to indulge in the weekday Afternoon Tea or the weekend High Tea boutique buffet. In the evenings the menu changes to a light inspired Tapas menu.

The Bar and Cigar Lounge - This wonderful bar has retained its old world feel, with dark teak fixtures and high padded bar stools. Located within the old British consulate building, it is a great location for a pre-dinner drink or a sophisticated nightcap. The extensive cocktail menu and wine list are sure to impress. For cigar aficionados, there is a large selection of Cuban cigars, these can be paired with a single malt from the vast whisky collection.

The Lobby Lounge - An area to relax with comfortable day beds in an open airy area - overlooking the pond and Colonial House. Refreshing beverages are on offer throughout the day.

Kasara Lounge - A discreet lounge open to Kasara Suite guests, relax on the couches or outdoor tables and enjoy complimentary temptations - the breakfast buffet, all day refreshments and cocktails and canapé's in the evening.

In-Room Dining - Available all day and night, In-Room Dining allows guests to enjoy anything from The Restaurant's menu. Gluten-free, lactose-free, halal and kosher options are also available.

Dining by Design - For a special occasion or to spoil your special someone, you can create a unique culinary experience from an extensive menu. All of the 84 lavishly designed rooms and suites are located in a strikingly modern building of wood and glass. Each of the rooms has a private balcony with a daybed overlooking the garden, The Colonial House or the Mae Ping River.

Deluxe Rooms/Deluxe River View Rooms - The 52 Deluxe Rooms (50sqm) are elegantly fitted with a luxurious bedroom, excellent amenities and bathroom featuring a deep tub and a rain shower. Offering views of the garden or river.

Kasara Suite/ Kasara River View Suite - The Kasara Suites offer over double the space of the Deluxe Rooms, they are perfect for couple desiring more space or families with up to two children. The 32 Kasara Suites feature a dining area, large open plan bathroom and excellent upgraded amenities. Guests who stay in the Kasara Suites have daily suite butler service, a dedicated concierge, and access to the Kasara Lounge.

There is no dedicated kids' club at this resort but children are welcome to stay and two can be accommodated in the Kasara Suites.
