  Dining

Celadon - Celadon is one of Bangkok's most iconic restaurants. The restaurant gives the illusion that it's drifting on water as it spoils diners with picturesque views across the lotus-pond. Serving authentic Thai cuisine in this beautiful setting, it's easy to see why it's heavily celebrated. Offering superb service to the highest of standard, Celadon is a celebration of the senses.

La Scala - La Scala is Italian fine dining at its very best, where the interior design compliments the Italian cuisine perfectly. The menu is spectacularly created with added artistic flair, but it's also the handpicked wine menu that compliments each meal which can't be forgotten. The style of the restaurants is subtle, unobtrusive and classic all the way.

Colonnade - Colonnade is a buffet style restaurant that can please everyone. With international cuisine from Europe, Asian and Japanese selections - you'll be spoilt for choice. Meats and fish are cooked to your order and request, and while the chef creates your meal, you can relax in the splendour that is the dining room with tall windows looking out onto the lit water garden with its stupa replicas.

Salon - A chocolate-lovers dream - The Sukhothai's Salon is the place to go to satisfy your sweet tooth. From a huge selection of coffee's, light cocktails, snack, afternoon tea and all the chocolate you could imagine, it's the perfect place to spend some time relaxing and soaking up the sweet smell. The Sukhothai's famed Chocolate Buffet finds itself on the must-do lists of many of the city's visitors and residents alike. The Chocolate Buffet is offered every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2.00pm - 5.30pm.

Pool Terrace Caf'e & Bar - Spend the day by the pool and be completely catered for. You can raise a glance at The Sukhothai staff, and someone will be over to accept your request. The Pool Terrace Cafe & Bar offers and great range of health drinks, light snack and meals, in a beautiful setting overlooking the pool.

The Zuk Bar - The decor in Zuk Bar is light, airy and prestigious. Gold static fish float above your head, while lotus ponds lie at your feet. It filters out from Colonnade, The Zuk Bar is the next stop as it makes for a great spot for after dinner drinks and light snacks (if you are still peckish). If you fancy sitting outside you can take a seat in the courtyard, which is both elegant and sophisticated. The bar takes on a club atmosphere in the late evening, with two high-energy resident DJs every night from 9 pm until 1 am, except Sundays and Mondays.

There are 210 spacious rooms and suites that comprise The Sukhothai. Detailed teak wood and rich fabrics decorate the rooms, creating an airy, homey feeling. Unique rooms offer private balconies or terraces with views out across the lotus ponds, courtyard gardens or pool. Room highlights include: oversized bathtubs, Thai style furnishings, and your very own pillow menu. Many rooms are named after celebrities who once stayed in the same room.
