Our thoughts

A long-time Cleveland Collection favourite, this is our first choice of beach hotel in Myanmar. Staying at the Sandoway Resort allows guests to embrace all the beauty of Ngapali Beach and indulge in its simple and yet incredibly charming surroundings. If you can bare to scrape yourself away from the beach views in your villa the hotel can arrange various sightseeing trips in the local area, including fishing and boat trips, snorkelling and windsurfing.

  Dining

The restaurant specialises in local seafood - you can expect fresh caught lobster, prawns and fish brought directly from the local fishing boats, guaranteeing the best quality of the day. Throughout the season local chefs from around Europe are invited in as guest chefs. The lounge bar is located on the verandah making it the perfect spot for a pre-dinner cocktail or to follow up with a night cap before retreating back to your villa or cottage.

Villas - With a choice of Beach Front View or Sea View, the Sandoway Villas offer the ultimate privacy in an exclusive setting. The villas are extremely spacious with an open plan approach, which seamlessly blends bedrooms and living space into one. A highlight is the private verandah facing the sea for memorable sunsets. A spiral stairway leads to the upper level which consists of a private loft with an amazing picture window once again showcasing the stunning views of garden and sea.

Cottages - With a choice of Beach front, Village and Deluxe Rooms these Cottages are 2 storeys high. On the ground level is an open plan sitting room opening onto a deck to the front. Behind the dressing room is the bathroom with a marble shower and a glassed roof. The bedroom is on the upper level with double or twin beds. An outside sitting area invites with easy chairs. The Beach Front Cottages are in the front row facing the beach unhindered while the Village Cottages are dotted around the garden, some with partial sea-view. The Deluxe Rooms of the same design and amenities as the Village Cottages are attached to each other and stand in rows facing the garden (a sea or partial sea view is not guaranteed). There is a telephone in each room but no TV, making it the perfect place for a digital detox and truly getting away from everything.
